The Irish Warriors team has been officially announced.  It’s a formidable line up including top quality players and no lack of height with the average squad height of 6 foot 2 inches!  Some notable players in the squad include:

  • Mick Finn, the 2008 player of the tournament, Melbourne based Mick previously played for Kerry U21s.
  • Aisake Ó hAilpín – brother of Carlton player Setanta and Cork hurling great Sean Og.  Now playing at Maribyrnong Park in Victoria he’s 198 cm and spent several years on Carlton’s list in the VFL playing for the Northern Bullants.  Aisake is probably best know in Ireland for playing full forward for Cork hurlers.
